Giampaolo Corea

Chief Executive Officer and Founding Partner

I am admitted to practice law both in the United States (New York Bar) and in Italy.

For over 16 years I have held roles in the top management of international institutional entities and investors both on the investment and asset management side. I am currently a board member of Coldwell Banker Commercial Italia (Realty Advisory S.p.A.), a non-executive Chairman of EHMA Hotel Management Ltd, a board member of Viride Group as well as the Vice Chairman of Cavese 1919 Football Club.

In the past I was the CEO and then liquidator of Fingestioni SGR (named in the past Finlombarda SGR), responsible for the Proprietary Operations and Real Estate of Intrum Italy, Deputy General Manager of Aquileia Capital (Bain Capital Credit Group) as well as director of several real estate vehicles set up to reposition the underlying real estate collateral on the market.

I worked as a business lawyer for Shearman&Sterling and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and as a tax lawyer for Ernst&Young.

Outside of work, I am passionate about sport, particularly calisthenics and swimming, for their combination of consistency, discipline and balance. I am also an enthusiast of music with a particular fondness for trance, progressive and techno.

Alessandro Lamberti

I have been a qualified lawyer since 2008.

I am currently Chairman of Metropolitana 4 of Milan, Chairman of Viride Group (operating in the renewable energy sector and parent company of Amalfitana Gas), and President of Cavese 1919 Football Club.

In the past I was the legal head of project finance at UBI Banca and previously worked in the
corporate&finance teams of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Gianni Origoni&Partners.

Davide Baraglia

M&A and Structured Finance Partner Consultant

I specialize in M&A, asset acquisitions and disposals involving financial sponsors and corporate counterparties, across both Italian and cross-border transactions.

I also advise on structured finance and securitization under Italian Law 130/1999, with over a decade of experience in transactions backed by NPL, UTP and real estate portfolios. My involvement spans the full deal lifecycle, from structuring the transaction and establishing and governing special purpose vehicles through to execution and completion.

I previously spent several years in-house as responsible of the legal function for the Bain Capital Credit platform in Italy, where my role extended beyond legal and corporate affairs to the origination, structuring and execution of credit transactions and securitizations. This experience gave me first-hand exposure to the business, operational and strategic dimensions of investment and transaction management.

Having managed these structures from within a corporate and investment platform before advising clients on them, I bring a perspective that goes beyond legal architecture. I understand how transactions are originated, structured and executed in practice, and the operational and commercial considerations that ultimately determine whether a deal works.

This combination of legal expertise and first-hand business experience reflects Demosthenes’ approach: providing legal advice with a clear understanding of the client’s commercial objectives and the realities of doing business.

Bianca Sinopoli

Junior Consultant

I graduated with honours in Law from the University of Bologna. My academic and professional background includes international experience in both institutional and comparative legal environments. I previously worked at the Italian Consulate General in Paris under the MAECI–CRUI programme and completed an Erasmus programme at the University of Liège in Belgium.

I am fluent in Italian, English and French, and bring to Demosthenes analytical and drafting skills, an international perspective and a rigorous approach to legal work.

At Demosthenes, I support the team on corporate, transactional and cross-border matters, contributing to legal research, due diligence and the preparation of legal documentation.
